Pretty Amazing Details About Worship at Covenant of Grace

In Review & Looking Forward

Hi Everyone,

Well, it was a wonderful day at COG. I feel so very honored to participate in our Worship services at Covenant. I appreciate the freedom that is ours in praise and adoration, waiting for His voice to speak the specific for the moment, and the joy of honoring Him as a body being of one mind and one spirit, one faith, one Lord! What a privilege. I trust it's the same for you.

Pastor Len brought a very significant word on prayer today. If you were not able to be in service please contact Wannetta and get a bulletin insert on the notes (filled in!) with scripture. You'll want to study up. Also, please get the CD and take a listen to the message itself. It was an amazing time. The Lord is wanting us to grab ahold of the altar in prayer, and it appears to be His now word to Covenant.

Also, "Thank you" to David & Toni Page for allowing COG to host your first fund-raising concert of Praise and Giving. All who attended were touched and blessed and inspired. You all are such a blessing to the body all over, not just us, and I sense in my spirit there is more of this for you all. Plus, wow, the band and vocals were incredible. Great arranging, David. Superb work! May the Lord crown your efforts with success.

Other details:
Welcome, Linda Kollie to COG Worship. Linda is not afraid to sing during her mic check! Woo Hoo! The sound guys are loving that! I am so thrilled that He would add Linda to the team. I'll be posting her rotation as soon as I have it nailed down.

Vocalists & Band Members: Please call and ask for the CD of the worship on your Sunday, then listen. Yes. Listen. It's free when you're on the team for that week, otherwise there would be a minimal charge. The purpose is to give a healthy, critical listen to your part. Sometimes pitch issues are a matter of proper breathing, missed notes: practice needed. In our goal to give Him our best we'll want to listen to what we can do better. It's just good to get a reality check on the areas needing improvement. We all have those areas, you can be sure of that.

After Service Clean-up
: Please return to the platform for after-service clean up. With two congregations sharing equipment, chords, etc., it's very necessary that we all take ownership of the clean up. In addition, just take a peak around the music room, and if you see trash or something tipped over, just do what we should do, and clean it up. A collective effort will make this so much easier. Goal: to leave the music room and platform nicer than you found it. Tearing down: it's not just for sound men anymore! : )

Prayer for: Teri Williams, one of our faithful vocalists, who will be having knee replacement surgery, Monday, June 7th. This is a pretty big deal, and will take Teri out of commission for quite awhile. Please keep Teri in prayer, and know that we'll miss you in your time away, Teri. You're a true worshipper.

Please let me know of any other prayer needs, and we'll post those also.

Now for the good stuff
! Here's a song we'll be doing next week, 5th Sunday, which is Family and Communion Sunday. Take a listen. I love it, and would like to include it in our rotation regularly, not just on Communion Sundays. It's about the Cross!

Thanks again for your service and ministry to the Lord first, and to our COG body.

KATHY

  1. Thank you for letting us completely re arrange the platform and pretty much disrupt the church with our event. I wish we had been in church, but David was just gutted. I look forward to this Sunday!
