Pretty Amazing Details About Worship at Covenant of Grace

First Sunday Worship!

Happy New Year, beloved worship team!

How's your anticipation level? Pastor Leonard gave a great word last week, and expounded on expectation and anticipation. I hope you have taken a few minutes or more, quieted your own heart, and asked the Lord about this up and coming year. Funny, 'cause we always encourage singers and instrumentalists...."play strong, sing out, and let the guys in the back adjust for the house mix if needed." I think the Lord would say to us, "Aim high, expect/anticipate much....and I'll adjust each day as it comes." Lord, Your Kingdom come, Your will be done, on earth as it is in Heaven. I don't know about you, but I want to run at a "steerable" pace.

My personal desire is to grow closer to the heart of the Lord, so I can know what is on His heart, and respond accordingly.(Romans 12:2) I pray that we will all think outside the box, allow Christ to chisel away at our own paradigms, and be His now light. I truly believe the Lord has a new way that His name will shine and be lifted up in this next year. I pray we desire His will more than our way.

That said, David Page will be leading our worship tomorrow. I am partly recovered from whatever it is that physicallly karate chopped me this week, actually our entire crew here. I felt I needed to excercise the opportunity to take a day of rest, and.....rest. So, even though it goes highly against my worship leader grain to stay home, it is what is needed. What worship leader wouldn't want to lead worship on the first Sunday of the New Year. I'll miss ya'll bunches.

THANK YOU so much, David and Toni, for taking us into the presence of the Lord tomorrow. I know it will be awesome.
