Hi Worship Team!
Hey, it's great to be back in town, back in church, etc. We are not designed to do life alone, and I have to say, I missed my church body! Thanks that could go on for a long time to David & Toni for leading, praying, and worshipping in my absence. Danny and I had a wonderful time, and believe this may be one of the best things we've done for our family in a long time. Next time, probably a shorter version!
I think I'm going to challenge ya'll to something. I want to challenge you to read through the book of Galations in one sitting. It will probably take you about 30 minutes. In fact, I encourage you to do so about 2 or 3 times per week. Honestly, you're going to gain MUCH from doing so. I've been in the book of Galations lately, and today I sat and read it all at once. Danny and I have been talking about its contents, and reading it all at one time really helped give me greater understanding. Why Galations? Because it CAN be read it one sitting, and it's the one I'm currently on. (Does that sound like a "Because I said so."???) Truthfully, it's got some good stuff in it that we should chew on. Bottom line: I don't want any of us to coast spiritually.
The Lord is the one who is at work within us to will and to work for His good pleasure, the Scriptures say, and while I was gone He managed to get through my head on a number of issues. I could list it out, but I'm really praying that rather than list it, I'll live it. Pastor Leonard talked yesterday about the Ephesians script (I think Ephesians) that talks about the body, growing up into all things. I really want us as ministers and worship leaders to grow. We must grow personally in Christ. When we do, the growth as ministers and leaders will be one of the fruits. I have often been stagnant in knowing and loving Christ...it just hasn't been fresh. If only we would stop settling for that kind of relationship with Him, how this world would be so very different. How our families would be so very different. How our churches would be so very different.
So, don't settle for mediocre any more. I love you all! I really am happy to be back!
Kathy
p.s. I posted the video for "Hallelujah, What a Saviour" that David introduced while I was gone. Check it out under Song Video tab.

Galatians 5:20. My fave!
ReplyDeleteI'll give it a shot!
Oops! There goes my memory! Make that Galatians 2:20. "I have been crucified with Christ it is no longer I who live, but Christ who lives in me." Does anyone really understand what that means! All that Christ is and all he has done and will do. All his power, authority, health, love, grace, etc . . . .ALL of it is in me. In all of us. If only we could really walk in that realization. We would never walk in fear or defeat again. Truly astounding.
ReplyDeleteGreat to have you back Kathy! Also I think me and Michelle will try it I love that you can read it all In one sitting also James is a good one as well.
