Pretty Amazing Details About Worship at Covenant of Grace

12.12.2009

Tomorrow already!

Hello night owls! If you're still up as I am reflecting on the beauty of the wedding we witnessed earlier, or just trying to figure out what is going on in Worship at COG, then you've come to the right place- THE WINDOW!

Tomorrow is the 3rd Sunday of Advent, and our Scripture will be from the OT book of Isaiah 49:8-13. The fruit of the presence of the Lord in our lives can be JOY. At today's wedding we witnessed the JOY of the love of two people who recognize the other as God's gift to their life. Another beautiful picture of JOY is in God sending Jesus, the faithful Saviour whose love never fails, to earth. JOY is again experienced by the giver and the receiver of such a gift! Joy can come in ANY season, and in any circumstance. Let's fix our eyes upon Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith and celebrate Joy in Jesus, and joy because of Jesus.

LOOKING AHEAD: Plans for Sunday morning are being finalized by yours truly this very night (pray if you're still up!), and I will also be working on the soon and coming Christmas Eve Service Thursday, December 24. I have tentatively scheduled a rehearsal for Thursday night 12/17 for the band. I imagine we'll need one more rehearsal early the week of Christmas. I'll be in touch with those who are to be on the team for that Sunday and Christmas Eve. I know the Wright's are out of town (of the Doug and Vicky kind), and so are the Ruiz's. Sorry for this lengthy portion, but that is normal this time of year. : )

See you all tomorrow, and thanks for patiently waiting once again for this post! : )
Blessings, KATHY
